Well this post was meant to be all about my week away at the Yoga Fit retreat. However this will have to wait as it’s been announced I am a finalist in the Equestrian Blogger of the Year 2017! Run by Hay-Net and Mirror Me PR this is quite a honour. Hence a change of theme for the blog post this week

Equestrian Blogger of the Year 2017: The Entry

I had entered this award last year. Nervously plugging in my blog address into the entry email. It was a fairly new blog last year and I had still had the luxury of recently being a horse owner. Still I didn’t hold my breath as there were lots of other blogs out there. Plus my blogging was sporadic at best and I was still finding my feet. Fast forward to Equestrian Blogger of the Year 2017 entry and I felt I little happier. My blog was varied and being read. Plus I put a lot of effort into blogging twice a week throughout the summer. Granted it has now slowed down to weekly, mainly because this is my down time and also there isn’t that much to say!

Still I remained unsure that I would get anywhere but figured I may as well throw my hat into the ring.

Equestrian Blogger of the Year 2017: Excitement Central

Now I know the intention was to have a week away from social media and some rest. However you can take the blogger away from her computer but she still will have her phone and WiFi. The patchy hotel WiFi meant I got a teasing ‘Well done Samantha’ on the Pferd Group chat. I had to go in search of WiFi to learn more and eventually I discovered the answer. Amazingly I was a finalist in the Equestrian Blogger of the Year 2017. I was so happy and cue lots of excited emojis being pinged around messenger and What’s App.

I can say that 150 blogs were entered and mine is one of the 12 finalists. Even if this is as far as it goes I’m super proud of myself. The hours of typing have been worth it.

This was the easy bit though. 50% of the vote is made up from the public voting, this is where I need your help. Please do just take 2 minutes to vote for me-it would really mean the world to me. Especially as a non-horse owning equestrian blogger.

Thank you xxxx
