A Canine or Equine Photoshoot offer you the chance to spend some quality time with your horse or horses. Let us help you create some wonderful lasting memories which will captured on camera. We capture more than just moments preferring the whole experience so riding is encouraged.

Before your shoot, you will receive a booking form which asks a few questions about your horse/s and what your expectations are. This gives us an idea of what will work best for you and the horses. For example, if you don’t want to be in the pictures we would plan to do field shots, head shots and perhaps some black backgrounds. Session fee is payable at the time of booking and will be weather dependant. Please do not wait for the brightest sunniest day as this will often bring its own issues like glare and shadows. Morning and evening are often better in the summer due to the high sun and glare so consider this when booking.

Equine Photoshoot: On the day

On the day of your shoot ensure your horse and tack are clean, please see blog post for more hints and tips.

Bring a couple of outfits and a pair of hands to help you pose and hold. Allow a couple of hours for your shoot and if you want to ride we would do this at the end to prevent sweat marks. Lunge or exercise them prior to the shoot if you feel it is needed, just allow them time to dry.

After your shoot, we will go back and review all your images. The ones that tick all the boxes, for example ears forward etc. Will then be lightly edited and uploaded to the online gallery. You will also receive a selection of watermarked images for you to share on social media.

The edited images will then be available for you to download via the website. Any further editing, such as collage creating will be available on discussion and is subject to a small additional fee.

You will then be the proud owner of some images you can treasure for ever.

Common Questions about an Equine Photoshoot:

Q) Can I have more than 1 pony or horse?

A) Of course, up to 3 animals are permitted per shoot fee. This may include a dog or two if wanted. Any more than three will need to be discussed with us prior to booking.

Q) What do I wear?

A) Something that you feel is flattering and comfortable. Avoid big and baggy-check out the blog post for more information on this

Q) What if it rains?

A) We can try and juggle times around weather but unless its properly raining try not to panic, plus we can always rearrange dependant on our schedules.

Q) Can my friend come along?

A) To watch is fine, to partake in an individual shoot will not be possible. This will require a group booking-which can be fun and cost effective. See the price list for more information on this

Q) Can I book for you to come to my yard and have a group session?

A) Yes of course you can! This can work out to be the most economical way, for example you could book us for the day and then split the cost between up to 6 of you. Time would be reduced for the individuals but you’d have great fun.

Q) Can I book you to come to an event with me?

A) Absolutely, we love events! What we can achieve will depend on the official photographers, media accreditation and the event themselves. Normally prep, warm up and cool down can all be captured. In the ring images will depend on the previously mentioned factors.
